Our first Writers' Anthology takes in a diverse range of voices from a teenage poet discovered through Sydney Story Factory to published novelists and former newspaper journalists. All responded to a national call-out for pieces that made us feel the rush of being lost in nature. The writing featured in this collection was selected by an expert panel of judges, including a literary agent, Guardian editor and an awarded First Nations poet.

Featuring stunning photographic spreads from longtime Unyoked field correspondents Sammy Hawker and Steve Liew, the anthology is edited by Liz Schaffer of Lodestars Anthology. It’s a new, evocative way to channel the creative spirit of the outdoors, no matter where you are.

The intention for our first capsule was to create products that are built to last. Just like our experience, Unyoked merch should stay with you for ages and have a light touch on the environment at the same time.

We spent months researching and handpicking responsible partners who adhere to these principles and have tried to work with organic fabrics and natural products where possible.

The goal? Creating a curated handful of favourite items that'll help us all enjoy the wild while avoiding the negative impacts of fast fashion. It's a journey and this is the first step, but we're proud of what we've created and how we did it. We hope you enjoy it, too.
